Allstate Sugar Bowl Cross Country Festival
The third annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Cross Country Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 10 at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. In last year’s Cross Country Festival,The Louisiana Tech men and the Tulane women captured the collegiate titles at the event. At the high school varsity level, St. Amant (La.) High School won both the girls and boys varsity divisions. Sumner (Kentwood, La.) High School won both junior varsity divisions.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with the Allstate Sugar Bowl in our upcoming cross country meet at Lafreniere Park," said Loyola Director of Athletics Brett Simpson. "Together, we hope to grow this event into one of the premiere cross country events on the Gulf Coast, while also showcasing the metro New Orleans area."
