Allstate Sugar Bowl Sponsors Youth Soccer Events

The Louisiana Soccer Association is presently conducting multiple Louisiana State Cup Championship Tournament events sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The three events are:

• Louisiana State Cup Presented by the Allstate Sugar Bowl (Competitive I) - Elite Level
• Allstate Sugar Bowl State Cup (Competitive 2)
• Allstate Sugar Bowl State Cup (Competitive 3)
  

Preliminary and Championship play is being held at tournament locations around the state including Lafayette, Hammond, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and Alexandria. Detailed schedules for all three events are attached. The three events includes over 4,000 boys and girls ages 11 through 19. By June 2, 36 championships trophies will have been presented along with countless medals, shirts and tournament patches all prominently displaying the Allstate Sugar Bowl logo. The widespread scope of activity and the resources required to conduct the six-week long tournament illustrates in a strong way the Sugar Bowl Committee's commitment to amateur athletics in the State of Louisiana.

Travel teams from around the state compete in a preliminary round of competition to determine eight teams to advance to the championship weekend in each of the three divisions.

The Louisiana State Cup Championship series of events and the Allstate Sugar Bowl State Cup series of events began on April 20-21 in Lafayette and Hammond. The final weekend of championship tournament play for boys and girls ages 18 and 19 will be held June 1-2 in Alexandria.

Winners of the U13 through U17 Girls and Boys brackets at the top level are eligible to compete in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup and the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships.
