  • A standout football player at Holy Cross High School in the late 1920s who went on to tremendous success as a high school football coach at multiple schools in the New Orleans area, including De La Salle, Francis T. Nicholls and Fortier, as well as Terrebonne High.
  • Won city and district championships with four different high schools.
  • Captured the state title in 1948 at Fortier.
  • Guided De La Salle to the state championship game in 1961, dropping a 20-7 decision to Istrouma.
  • Also directed his team to the state championship game in 1952.
  • His Terrebonne High School track teams captured seven district titles and one state crown from 1949-59.
