  • His 1947-48 team went 23-3, including a victory over Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl Tournament.
  • Later became the first full-time executive secretary and director of the National Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
  • Inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as a contributor in 1972.
  • Born March 17, 1896 and died Aug. 15, 1977 at the age of 81.
