Allstate Sugar Bowl Photographer Information Vests, Credentials, or Armbands must be worn at all times.
Game-Week Opportunities There will be a variety of photo opportunities throughout the week leading up to the game. We post a Media Schedule as well as a Photo Op Schedule on our website (http://www.allstatesugarbowl.org/site51.php). Check the other tabs under “Media” for further information.
Main Digital Work Area The primary digital work area is located on the ground level of the Superdome at the bottom of Elevator 8. When entering the Dome at Gate A, turn right and follow to Elevator 8. It is immediately after the elevator on the right. There are Ethernet connections at every seat. Please bring your own Ethernet cable.
Digital Overflow If necessary, there will be overflow seating for photographers in the Media Work Room, located in the Northwest Warehouse between Elevators 8 and 9. There will be limited ethernet connections available, as well as wireless. Please bring your own Ethernet cable.
Photography Check-in The Media Information Table will also serve as the Photographer Check-in area. Photographers will pick up their vests at this location prior to gaining access to the field. There will be a pre-game photographers’ meeting at 6 p.m. in the Digital Work Area.
Field Rules Photographers/Videographers must stay behind the striped lines around the field and outside of the bench area (between the 25-yard lines on both ends of the field) during the entire time they are on the field, with the exception of team entrances pregame, once the game is over (see definition of “game over” below) and the postgame trophy presentation. With the exception of the 24 pre-assigned and marked end zone spaces reserved for select media outlets. Space on the sideline and end zone is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sidelines will feature two striped lines. The white striped line closest to the field is for kneeling photographers, while the yellow line is for standing. All other personnel, including producers and talent, must stand behind the yellow striped line farthest from the field. The End Zone line is kneeling only, if you wish to shoot from a standing position you must stand back against the wall. No shooting will be allowed directly behind the team bench area during the game and no cameras, still or video, are allowed in the bench area.
Messengers When not actively working with a photographer or in transit, messengers must remain away from the standing lines to give space for the working photographers. At no time will messengers be allowed to kneel or loiter along the sidelines.
Game Over Photographers, messengers and television personnel are not allowed on the field or inside the team bench area until the game is over. “Game over” is defined as follows:
• No time remaining on the clock and one team has a lead. • No timeouts left and the team in the lead has the ball and there is less than 39 seconds remaining on the game clock and the quarterback has knelt down to run out the clock.
Anyone violating “game over” rules may result in immediate and future sanctions for both the individuals and agencies they represent.
Postgame There will be a trophy presentation for the winning team on a stage on the field. Photographers must remain behind the stanchions.
Water There will be bottled water available in the area where photographer vests are picked up.
Restrooms Restrooms are available in the West Bunker Suite.
