Afterward, the Rebel quarterback was an overwhelming pick for the Miller-Digby Award after racking up 312 yards in total offense, including 273 through the air. Manning completed 21-of-35 passes and ran 18 yards for a touchdown. Despite the loss, Arkansas quarterback Bill Montgomery had an excellent game as well, connecting on 16-of-34 passes for 338 yards and two touchdowns. Like Manning, he also ran for a score. |
