Tuesday, July 14, 2009
The Allstate Sugar Bowl has launched a new and significantly more in-depth official website at www.AllstateSugarBowl.org. Created in conjunction with Firefly Digital, world-class website developers based out of Lafayette, La., the site includes key information relating to all events and activities sponsored and hosted by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, from the Sugar Bowl Football Classic to the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame to lacrosse, basketball, volleyball tournaments and more.
"We are very excited to launch the new AllstateSugarBowl.org," said Paul Hoolahan, CEO of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. "We have wanted to upgrade our website to a level befitting the Sugar Bowl's status as one of the country's best and most prestigious bowl games. With this new site, we believe we have done just that."
The site has a thorough football historical section, which includes recaps of each of the first 75 Sugar Bowls, as well as statistics, photos and record books. There is also information on the Allstate Fan Fest and the Allstate Sugar Bowl Fan Jam, two free-to-the-public events held in conjunction with the annual football classic. For the media, all credentialing information and breakdowns of this year's tentative schedule of events are available.
"Firefly did a tremendous job of fulfilling all of our needs and creating a site which will be among the best in the bowl business," said John Sudsbury, the Allstate Sugar Bowl's director of communications and media relations. "We're excited by the flexibility and the ability we will have to keep our fans better informed about all of the events related to the Allstate Sugar Bowl."
With expanded photo galleries, fans have the opportunity to see the wide-range of events sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, not just football-related events, but events in a multitude of sports as well as many awards and honors presented during the year.
The 2010 Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic will be played on Jan. 1, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The 76th edition of the annual game will once again be played in the Louisiana Superdome.
