  • Tallied 21 career knockouts.
  • Defeated Frankie Burns to win the bantamweight title in New Orleans in 1917 and held the title until losing it to Joe Lynch in 1920. Regained the title by defeating Lynch in 1921, but lost it later that year to Johnny Buff ina  Madison Square Garden fight.
  • Born Feb. 12, 1896 and died April 13, 1973 at the age of 77.
